Team Danvantri from AmZetta Technologies Private Limited is the only Indian entrant competing to build a powerful home medical device. Our team is foreseeing a future in healthcare which is larger than Life, and we want to make life easier for each and every person by innovating useful products. Danvantri is the name of Medicine God in India, and hence the name was chosen for the team. “Our motto is to empower every common man in the planet with the right to know his/her vitals or the family’s health conditions without the dependency a physician unless there is a real need for it.”, says Mr. Sridharan Mani, CEO & Director.

We are a dynamic group of talented professionals with combined experience of over 200,000 man hours in embedded systems and IT. Our team is dedicated to develop cost effective preventive healthcare solution based on mobile technologies. The goal of the team is to make healthcare affordable to every one with the help of portable all in one healthcare gadget. Along with XPRIZE, we hope to create a platform for everyone to stay healthy and fit independent of the visits to the Clinics.

The XPRIZE Foundation is an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity, thereby inspiring the formation of new industries and the revitalization of markets that are currently stuck due to existing failures or a commonly-held belief that a solution is not possible. The XPRIZE developed the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE to spur radical innovation in personal health care technology. The Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE is a $10 million global competition to stimulate innovation and integration of precision diagnostic technologies, helping consumers make their own reliable health diagnoses anywhere, anytime. The Competition was announced by the XPRIZE Foundation on 10 May 2011 and subsequently launched on 10 January 2012 at CES 2012(Consumer Electronic Show).

The XPRIZE Foundation conducts competitions in five Prize Groups: Energy & Environment; Exploration (Ocean and Deep Space); Global Development, Learning; and Life Sciences. The name is taken from the Tricorder device from the science fiction TV series Star Trek which can be used to instantly diagnose ailments. Some 300 teams from around the world initially signed up for the competition. Of these, 21 teams come from the United States, while Canada and the United Kingdom are each represented by three teams. Other nations in the running include Slovenia, Poland, Greece, India, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Netherlands. To win the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE, contestants have been asked to create a mobile device that's not exactly like the one used in Star Trek — but one that would be powerful nonetheless.

From just a prototype BP meter to a composite & portable healthcare device, we have come a long way. Our ideas have been actualized as science developed along with the need of the hour. The inception began with a prototype board V.1 designed in August 2012.This was a handmade PCB designed to confirm the working principles of the components. Later, with rapid changes and rigorous rounds of component selection and testing new features were added and this paved way to VitalsFit. The team spent a lot of time reading IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) research papers for the Tricorder project. Over the period of 1-2 years the device has undergone several modifications in terms of design & functionality. It is more advanced and ready to address the inefficient, expensive, and inertia-bound healthcare system. Our Team Danvantri from AmZetta Technologies Private Limited led by an IT veteran Mr. Sridharan Mani is the only team from India competing for Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE.

VitalsFit is accurate, portable and easy to use. Our product VitalsFit is a device that can be used to diagnose a set of 15 diseases including anemia, diabetes, tuberculosis, hepatitis A, atrial fibrillation (abnormal heart rhythm), sleep apnea, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a lung disease), ear infection and leukocytosis. Our team has already commercialized a small device, controlled by a mobile app, which can check blood pressure, blood oxygen level and temperature. We are now in the process of integrating other technologies into the device to meet the competition's requirements. Our team has also developed small probes to check for anemia, ear infection, lung capacity, and ECG/ EEG. All of these connect to the main device and/or the phone, which then does the diagnosis.
